HISTORY OF FC OBILIĆ"

  Football club "Obilic", Belgrade, was founded in 1924, and it came into the competition of the Belgrade Football Federation in the season of 1925/26. Competition at Belgrade's committee was organized and divided into the 3 grades (ranges).

  Already in the season of 1928/29. Obilic was in the 1st grade. The best achievements in the 1st grade of Belgrade's committee were in the following competitor's seasons:
1932/33 - second placement
1931/32 - third placement
1935/36 - third placement
1937/38 - third placement

During the World War II there was a league consisted of ten clubs, and the competition was running from 1941. till 1944 under very specific circumstances. Obilic's placement in that league was standardly the 3rd, right behind the famous Belgrade clubs "BSK" and "SK 1913".

After the World War II the name "Obilic" was banned, untill 1952. From 1951. FC Obilic is active under the name "Cuburac", and from 1952. FC "Cuburac" and FC "Sumadija" made fusion and the resulting club was again named "Obilic".

  • Season 1952/53. Obilic started in IB grade
  • In the season of 1956/57. Obilic was in the sub-state league
  • From 1962. till 1972. the club was competing in II Belgrade league.
  • In the season of 1972/73. Obilic won the 1st place in II Belgrade league and it came across to I Belgrade league.
  • In the season of 1981/82. Obilic won 4th place in the Belgrade zone league and comes across to the II Serbian league North.
  • In the season 1982/83. the club wins the 1st place within the II Serbian league North and advances into the I Serbian league.
  • Within the season of 1987/88. based on the placement within I Serbian league, Obilic advances further to the III Yugoslav (former) league - Inter-republic league North.
  • In the season of 1991/92. Obilic came across into the II National league of FRY (the newly created Yugoslavia).
  • After the season of 1993/94. Obilic advanced to I National league, group B.
  • In the season of 1996/97. the club ranks the 1st in the I National league, group B, and advances further to the I National league, group A.
  • In the season of 1997/98. there's a the historical achievement of Obilic's team and it wins the 1st place in the I National league, group A.
FC Obilic is the Champion of Yugoslavia !!!

Beside the seniors, the Club has it's own football school for younger categories, and that's for 5 different age grades (pre-roosters, roosters, pioneers, cadets and the youth team) with 162 registered players in total.
